What isn't temporary, however, is the story: the film's concept. The main characters remain essentially the same (like in Bubbles), and are supplemented by flashbacks to the 1970s, subplots, more developed character arcs, and a divided and occupied Germany, all the way to the climax of our story—the Fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, where our main character finally breaks free from the expectations of others and courageously stands up for himself.

Director
John Klein

The two co-directors themselves spent their youth in the 1980s, which adds a touch of authenticity to the film. Furthermore, in their last project, "Never Not Yours," they proved their ability to convey serious topics in an entertaining way. Last but not least, their lack of German language skills is an unexpected advantage, ensuring that the acting is authentic and the humor is universal—because film language is visual language, and that is and remains universal.
